The
Vault
Secure Cloud Storage for all your data. Controlled, accessible, and transparent Isolated storage backed with distinct encryption.
Visibility - Always Online - Collaboration - Control - Accessible
Mining planning data is often stored in various locations and software packages. Finding key data such as the latest block model, a specific schedule, or the matching parameter set can be a challenge. Evidence of provenance or validity is not possible in this case, therefore confidence and transparency is lacking.
The Challenge
Experience secure cloud storage with our Vault, the foundation of the QS Portal. Questions?
-
Once created, a model represents a version of the truth in the ground. Uploading a model to the Vault means it cannot be altered, only read, exported or cloned.
This immutability protects the version of truth as a snapshot in time. Versioning is important as models and parameters change over time for projects. For example, a good comparison would be a new vs old reserve model with altered estimation data and parameters.
These sorts of comparisons can only be achieved if models are stored securely and easily accessible. The Vault also employs a sign-off system (optional) to work in with company policies and certify the models are approved by the people responsible.
-
With the backing of industry leading cloud providers, there is no practical limit to the amount of data that can be stored immutably.
-
When uploading a model the Vault also takes in metadata to aid with model searching and management. Models can be tagged and filtered by time and author or by a custom set of attributes (enforced or optional) to make sure the required model is always within reach.
-
We use the latest technology with Encrypted at rest with AES-256 data encryption.
-
The model owner and administrator determine who can read, download and clone models stored in the Vault. Working groups can be set up to enable access for groups of people to certain models and files.
Within the same company, the Vault can service different department groups and individuals can retain their own working models rather than being overwhelmed by seeing everybody’s models and activity all the time.
