Activity
Modeller
Map your entire mining value chain into a detailed flow, configure calculations with simple syntax, and execute on datasets of any size, and fast. Integrate parameters and calculations from all disciplines.
Value Chain Mapping - Rapid Execution - Calculation Support - Simple Syntax
Mapping the value chain for an operation, plant or business unit is often done using a combination of software solutions, spreadsheets, or specific code. This can involve separate processes spread across multiple departments. Validation and updates become challenging. Integrating of complex modelling of non-production parameters is often omitted, eg CO2, water, etc. Are you sure all material flows are accurately modelled?
The Challenge
Activity Modeller brings the future of mining value chain modelling to your fingertips. A scalable canvas allows you to map your entire mining value chain into a detailed flow or multiple linked flows. You can configure calculations with simple Excel-based syntax and and execute on datasets of any size in minutes. Utilise the built-in validation and testing framework to ensure accuracy and facilitate the calculation of any non-temporal variables, including costs, saleable product, value drivers, ESG metrics, etc.
Our Solution
Value Chain Mapping
Map your entire mining value chain into a detailed flow or multiple linked flows with ease. Every activity is visually represented including upstream and downstream relationships.
Rapid Dataset Execution
Validate and then execute on large datasets in minutes. You won’t even have time to get a real coffee.
Library Linkages
Link your Activity Modeller flows to QS Portal libraries published for use. Auditing becomes simple, fast and transparent.
Simple Syntax
Configure all calculations using a simple syntax (Excel based function calls), empowering users, without them needing to be able to develop complex code.
Configuration Cloning
Updated model or parameters? No worries!
Clone your complete configuration, refine as required, validate and execute. Simple, fast and confident.
Validation and Testing Framework
Utilise the integrated validation and testing framework to verify the accuracy of your calculations before processing, minimising errors and optimising workflow speed, efficiency and confidence.
Activity Modeller
// SHOWCASE
Expand models to include data for planning purposes (eg costs, saleable product, value drivers, ESG metrics, etc.)
Powerful and flexible, code whatever your planning workflow requires.
Fast execution based on distributed processing. Large model, no problem!!
Connect to User Libraries loaded to the Vault to support efficient logic development and an auditable workflow.
Clone previous configurations, from last week or last year. Map to updated User Libraries, refine the logic, and run.
Simple Syntax allows users to develop in AM without needing to be able to code (eg use Excel based function calls).
Take the first step towards optimising your mining operations! Request a demo of our software and we’ll schedule in a free demo on your data.

Questions?
-
Activity Modeller (AM) provides a design canvas and equation building framework to easily create clear and powerful cashflow scripts. All block model fields are available for filtering and calculations plus user libraries can be accessed to ensure appropriate input variables are used.
The canvas and simple calculation layout means mining, processing, haulage, revenue and cost activities have their own calculation space and connected libraries which enables easy creation and debugging.

Cashflow scripts are complicated beasts. They often include the mining and processing (and other departments) variables for an entire resource. A problem can occur when you have multiple resource models and multiples settings being used to create a set of cashflow models for analysis. Which script was used to make this model? Which setting was used?
Once an AM has been initiated, a new block model is created with the AM calculated fields. The AM canvas, calculations and libraries are all attached as metadata to the model so the field derivation is always accessible and transparent to all users.
